In the last three days, police in Uttar Pradesh have detained or arrested up to 244 persons on suspicion of using unfair methods during the police constable recruitment exam.
The state police headquarters released a statement stating that these arrests or detentions took place between February 15 and February 18, starting at 6 p.m.
With the assistance of local intelligence, the Special Task Force (STF) and district police made these arrests and detentions.
“After filing a formal complaint against them, the accused who have been detained or arrested are being questioned. Gangs and individuals using unfair exam techniques will be apprehended, and severe measures will be implemented against them, according to Uttar Pradesh police.
“Most of the arrests were made before the accused could execute their nefarious plans of disturbing the sanctity of the exam by adopting unfair means,” he stated.
